ISO 24.04 won't boot on Mac

I wanted to try Budgie on my MacBook, but the USB stick won’t boot. I checked the SHA, and the USB stick actually does boot on a Asus K55V with Intel, but not on my MacBook 5,1 (2008, Intel)
Also, the same MacBook boots fine on the MX 2.13 Wildflower (Debian) ISO.
Any hints or tipps on this?

Well that sounds like a bug and should be reported on launchpad … probably against the linux package.

You could always just wait until next week when 24.04.1 is released. Maybe the issue has been fixed since the initial release.

Alternatively you could install 22.04.5 and upgrade to 24.04.

Thanks, I guess I wait for the next release. It’s just a side project, so no need to hurry…
