Lock screen on wake up briefly flashes last screen

I’m on 19.04. I regard this as quite a major privacy/security issue.

this is a known issue due to your hardware/graphics driver and how you actually put your system to sleep.

Interesting thoughts here upstream - basically lock your screen first before suspending - and/or try the workarounds suggested.
