Network applet, is still White after turning Dark theme on

I noticed it myself a while ago and now it was also mentioned in an episode of Big Daddy Linux Live on YouTube.
When you change to an Dark theme in Ubuntu Budgie, the network applet still shows Light (White).

GTK in 18.04 and later no longer supports dark mode. This is because not all apps worked well with this switch. There will be other apps like the network applet that behave strangely with the dark switch

GTK now recommends that you use dedicated themes that have dark variants.

After further investigation this has been discovered to be a bug in GNOMEs network manager applet.

We have hard-coded it to white since nm-applet has a habit of changing it to a dark-grey colour i.e. it doesnt appear to support symbolic icons
