Place App Menu Bar on left?

I’ve been using Budgie for a long time, and just had a crash yesterday (not Budgies fault). I’ve got a clean install in place, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to move the app menu at the screen bottom to the left side. What am I missing?

Menu - budgie desktop settings

Click on the panel on the left hand side of the window.

Then click on settings on the right side and choose in the drop down to move the panel to the left…

Or if you are just referring to moving the applet around … same settings window and panel section. Click on the applet and the on the top of this applet section click the up / down arrows t9 move the applet around.

Thank you for your reply. I’m in Budgie Desktop Settings. This is what I see on the left:

Appearance
Style
Desktop
Fonts
Raven
Windows
Panels
Top Dock

  • Create New Panel
    Session
    Autostart

On the right, I do not see anything that resembles Settings for the App Menu, no matter which of the items on the left I select.

I do see Settings for the Top Dock, and can place it where I want. But not the App Menu bar (see at the bottom left of the image, it’s actually located bottom middle of my screen).

Ah. The is the plank dock.

In the menu look for plank preferences where you can change various things including which edge of the screen.

Excellent, I thought it was Plank, and thought it used to be in the Desktop settings? Couldn’t find it, and it’s been so long since I had to mess with it, I forgot. Thank you for your help, problem solved.
