Replacing picture in log in screen

Greetings all. I am inquiring about the possibility or certainty of replacing the picture in the log in screen. I have seen a few methods, but was apprehensive to try them due to being for earlier versions of Ubuntu. Any and all help will surely be appreciated. Thanks.

In the menu use the option “login window” … there you will be able to change the image and other aspects of the login window.

Yes, that would do it…the problem is that there is only one picture available, the one I am trying to replace. I have tried several times to insert a picture into the usr/share/backgrounds folder, but insufficient permissions prevented me from doing so.

Hey, problem solved! A ‘sudo nautilus’ in the terminal allowed me to copy /paste pictures into the user/share/backgrounds file. The more you know…
