Change wallpaper for my photos

you can only exchange them for images that come with the system.

Open the file-manager and navigate to where your photos are. Right click on a photo file and choose “set as wallpaper”

Hi,
if you are trying to change wallpaper by right-clicking on Desktop, as soon as Budgie Control Center windows opens (the one that shows distro wallpapers), on upper-right corner there’s an “Add picture” button.
Otherwise, you can do as fossfreedom suggested: open file browser, surf to image you want to set as wallpaper, right-click it and choose “Set as wallpaper”.

Cheers,
Sil

On the other hand, if you want to put a personal image on the login screen, you’ll first need to copy it to a directory accessible by the root account, as the login screen is, by definition, displayed before a user logs in.

Open the directory containing the desired image, right click and select > ‘Open in Terminal’.
Then enter this line with the name and location of your image:

sudo cp name-of-your-image.type /usr/share/backgrounds/

Finally, type ‘log’ in the application search box in the main menu, run ‘Login Window’ and do ‘Login Window > Appearance > Background > Background’ to select your image. :upside_down_face:
