Support for desktop icons in 19.04

Hello! Is this topic still being discussed or solved? the LXQt people seem to think they’ve solved icons on the desktop/split menus? Unless I read this wrong…

https://lxqt.org/release/2019/01/25/lxqt-0140/

Yep - still relevant.

LXQt is a QT based solution - I’ve looked at this and not really portable to Budgie Desktop. Dependencies - look/feel etc are out of place.

For 19.04 either DesktopFolder or Nemo Desktop will be our solution. We’ll make a decision for 19.04 in a couple of weeks time.

We’ll reassess any decision for 19.10 anyway since that solution will be the basis for 20.04 LTS.

Sorry to open this again but isn’t there something from Solus for that :

I won’t say I don’t like Nemo - but I miss the now « native » batch rename feature in Nautilus.

You know, people are never happy and always looks at greener neighbour’s garden…

That project was never finished.
