Pros: excellent 2880*1800 OLED screen, Nvidia driver 510 works fine, Mediatek WiFi mt7921e recognised at live install (actually the only distro I know which handles this), excellent performance

Cons: no hibernation, wrong suspend function (dot key and brigthness seting is not working after return from susopend) bluetooth not working (at least I could not manage to installl a bluetooth mouse)

I appreciate any assistance and advice to manage cons - all in all this is an excellent laptop with unbelievable output.

If you have just installed on the laptop my advice would be to try the 22.04 daily. This comes with the 5.15 kernel which should behave much better on newer hardware such as yours.

Advice taken.

Boot time 22.04 daily 7 (seven) seconds.

Cons: hibernation needs some further care (got some ideas), wifey says ‘Hey du bist ein Jodltalent’.

Just for the record Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3401Q) works well with Ubuntu Budgie 22.04. Bluetooth, touchpad, WiFi works from scratch, screen lock works after removal of gnome-shell-common package, suspend works, hibernation works after setting proper grub resume data. Numpad on touchpad and fingerprint reader on switch button is not working as there are no Linux drivers for them - at least no drivers that I know.

No drawbacks that I know at the moment. This is one of the the strongest laptop configurations on Linux at an affordable price. Thank you for developers of Budgie and the community.

How enable NumberPad
How enable FingerPrint
