Updates from upstream
- Budgie is still facing display manager issues, fallback is to fork wdisplays. @fossfreedom will provide further updates.
- Debian is out of freeze status
- GNOME 49 has broken budgie: fedora is in a worst state than Ubuntu, but budgie overall is broken.
- gsd moved from gsd to mutter
- moved wacom support to mutter
- Disabled building x settings support
Release updates
- Questing 25.10 wallpapers shared and made available by various blogs
- crystaldock looks quite promising. It would require uploading to to debian.
- Release announcement to push towards the wayland story.
- blog post to focus on the"Questing towards the wayland" focus on the work to enable wayland, and encourage more testing via PPA. @ilvipero to work with @samlane and @Kyuyrii to get bullet points of major work items, links with pictures and software, packages.
- 8-10 images for wallpapers? Any volunteers for this? we could potentially look for images in the Ubuntu wallpaper competition, but we should only pick those that are not already in Ubuntu.

- Ubuntu Budgie will soon be moving to static pages
- markdown formatting is available for blog posts
- github integration for website changes or blog posts
Domain renewals
- Domain renewal needs to be done by September .2025 for .org
- Domain renewal to be done by April 2026 for .com
