Accidentally removed the bottom panel

I’ve recently installed Budgie on my PC and I’ve accidentally removed the bottom panel, how do I recover it without reinstalling the OS?

CTRL+ALT+T to open a terminal, then type

nohup budgie-panel --reset --replace &

That will completely reset your panel and then you can customise it again via budgie desktop settings

Still, the bottom panel is nowhere to be seen, maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Press Alt+F2 and look for budgie desktop settings.

You can then see what panels you have and change what you need.

I have only the top panel, as shown here:

In that window click the Settings button and you can change the panel from top to bottom

Maybe confusing the idea of a « bottom panel » with Plank ( which is a dock ) ?

Maybe look into « Autostart » to enable Plank - if it’s still there.

( I don’t like Plank so I generally uninstall it. )
