Budgie 10.6 - Will it make it in time for Ubuntu 22.04 lts?

Hey there, first post here
Long time linux user and been looking to make a change from xfce4 to budgie. Ubuntu Budgie seems like a good option as I’m used with debian and debian based systems(sadly budgie on debian is definitely not a priority, very buggy as of now, unlike xfce4) and it looks very polished.

Anyway, question is simply if Release Budgie 10.6: All Of The Buddies · BuddiesOfBudgie/budgie-desktop · GitHub will make it in time for 22.04. Or do you guys use ppa/backports as well for DE updates?

Thanks in advance

Definitely will be in the release - it is currently in the proposed channel. It is waiting for Canonical to complete the migration steps of GNOME-Shell & Mutter before it will be allowed into the release pocket (i.e. budgie-desktop has a dependency of mutter … and gnome-shell separately has a dependency of mutter)

budgie-control-center v1.0.0 as of today migrated to the release pocket.
