When I right-click on the desktop, I can see a menu with an item Catfish File Search. But clicking on it doesn’t bring up the Catfish menu.
Is this supposed to work out of the box, or do I have to install anything manually? I have a minimal installation. Generally speaking, should there be a menu item, if the app is not installed?
Yeah - that’s a cosmetic bug - if catfish isn’t installed then it shouldn’t show.
fixed now by this https://github.com/UbuntuBudgie/budgie-desktop-environment/commit/5410319fada3b38bfde4a1712a2bc9e9433dc0f9 - will be in 19.10
Thanks for the reply. Catfish is now installed and working great. I have been using Albert, but Catfish requires a lot less configuration efforts for indexing and the file search is super fast and efficient. Good choice to put this into the distro.
