I installed and upgraded the driver. The black screen is still intermittent. Sometimes it shows a black screen on the desktop, and sometimes I can log in to the desktop normally.
I was a little afraid of that, alas.
From experience, I also know that trying other distributions — or waiting for the next 25.04 due out this afternoon — sometimes, if not quite often, solves this kind of hardware compatibility problem.
Reinstalling the system too.
I know, it’s not very rational, but it’s true.
The next kernel uplift for the 24.04 LTS is due in August this year. This will come with kernel 6.14 which is the same kernel used in today’s 25.04 release.
Thank you for your kind reply. It seems that I have to wait for a few more months. The stability of the linux desktop system is indeed not as good as that of windows, but it is faster than windows. The budgie interface is more beautiful than Windows 11. I will insist on using budgie.
