In “The One” and “Cupertino” Layouts the application menu (file, edit, view, etc.) is put in the top bar, but in all other layouts there is no application menu at all. I prefer some of the other layouts, but the missing application menu makes many applications almost unusable (libre office, vscode, etc.). When the application menu is not in the shared top bar how do I get it to show up with the application instead?
Just logout and login. The menu will appear with the application again.
This is a ‘feature’ of the appmenu. It doesn’t release grabbing the menu even if it is no longer active until a logout.
