Hi everyone,
If i wish to add my own images for the background do i need to resize them. most off my pics are 5152 x 3864, jpeg and approx. 8mb in size.

As long as the picture is a similar rectangular shape that meets your monitor orientation, the picture should show ok.

If your ( only ) monitor has 1920x1080px resolution, a bigger picture is not really useful.
But true, as long as ratio of your picture = ratio of the screen it will look ok ( no stretching nor squizzing ).
If you have multi monitors setup you may want to span one big picture « across » them all.
In that case, the picture should covered ( in pixels ) the whole area used by all your screens.
