By trying to help elsewhere on another matter I’ve seen this and wonder what’s the state of « desktop » and icons in Budgie 22.04 :
Good spot. It should read nemo. Since it is a recommendation it doesnt actually have to exist.
Fortunately, nemo is installed as part of ubuntu-budgie-desktop.
The desktop icons is provided by the binary nemo-desktop which is installed by nemo.
We will correct that duff package name in the upcoming bug fix for budgie desktop
