ShowTime « forgets » font-size?

Well…

I have now the same « problem » with another user on that same machine.

And the remove / replace applet does not fix.

And same behavior → removing the applet does not clear the showtime settings in dconf. Is this expected ?

what happens if you add (in addition to the first showtime applet) another showtime applet. Then delete the original. Does that work?

Did not test yet.

As for the other user, I deleted the strings with no schema from showtime solus-project using dconf-editor.

I met the same problem today on another machine.

Ok. So what seems to fix the behavior so far :

⋅ delete strings with no schemas in dconf editor regarding showtime inside solus-project. Those I most probably introduced by wrongly dumping / restoring things in dconf.
⋅ remove showtime applet through budgie desktop settings.
⋅ important : reboot computer without showtime enabled. Logout session is not enough.
⋅ then re-enable showtime.

Still random on one machine.

Wonder why it happens now after months without problem.

Maybe time to check discs health… scary.

Adding another showtime does not « show » another clock on desktop.
But this makes a difference in applet settings :

Mmm…

On that one session where problem remains…

I’ve removed showtime-applet from its actual panel ( left side one )

Rebooted.

Then add showtime-applet again but into the other panel ( top side )
and so far so good…

Wait and see.

Seems ok now.

So should I remove the whole left side panel where the problem occurred to create a new one ?

Or will it always bring back settings kept somehow by dconf-editor ?

By removing the panel and creating a new panel it should create the new side panel with a brand new UUID - you should see that in dconf.
