Hi, whenever I start ubuntu Budgie I get the message in the right corner: “Some required themes-apps are mi…” the rest is not visible. What do I have to do with that?
You can click either yes to install the snap theme associated with the current theme you are using, or you can click no not to install the snap theme.
Okay, thank you for your answer.
Yes, that should be the principle.
But did you notice that to successfully install the missing themes in snap format in UB 24.04… you have to click on the “No” button in the notification box?

Nothing has changed in UB 24.04.1, you still have to click “No” to install the missing default theme snap:
yep - dunno why. Needs someone to dig into the theme integration snap.
I don’t know why we bother with these messages.
Unsnapified UB works very well — thanks for the idea, @Coeur-Noir.
Or just with these three packages to keep “Budgie Welcome” :
snap list
Nom Version Révision Suivi Éditeur Notes
core22 20250408 1963 latest/stable canonical✓ base
snapd 2.68.4 24505 latest/stable canonical✓ snapd
ubuntu-budgie-welcome 0.25.10 562 latest/stable ubuntubudgie classic

yes, mostly for older PCs, de-snapify UB is oeuf corse the best solution.
I’m a bit sorry because english speakers cannot fully understand my little calembour, but I know that jlb who’s francophone as far as I have understood, will appreciate it. [ source: Aléxandre Bénoit Bérurier

Works just as well on modern computers to get rid of those … messages.
