I have a Surface Pro 3 laptop. Previously I had Fedora installed and everything was working ok. I had secureboot set up. I was just fed up with the constant updates, so have installed Budgie.
Upon start up after installing Budgie I get this error code and then the laptop shuts down. I can boot into Budgie if I turn off secureboot in the EUFI settings.

I suspect that I have the secureboot keys setup correctly for a Fedora installation, and just need the keys for a Budgie setup to replace it?
If you don’t want to disable Secure Boot, try configuring it to allow the Ubuntu bootloader to run.
Re-enable Secure Boot, then, in the “Security” tab, select the option “Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing”.
Go up directory by directory until you reach the “ubuntu” directory (HDD0 > EFI > ubuntu) and select “shimx64.efi”, the bootloader that ensures compatibility with Secure Boot.
Press F10 to save the changes. Ubuntu should now start up.

If this does not work, you can try the other two options, “Erase all Secure Boot settings” and “Restore Secure Boot to Factory Default,” one after the other, to clear Secure Boot of settings related to previous installations, starting with the first option. Save.
If Ubuntu still does not start, configure Secure Boot as explained above.
