Upgraded from 18.10 to 19.04, no longer can use/add custom keyboard shortcuts

So for some reason after upgrading, keyboard shortcuts no longer work.

I had one for tilix quake mode and it stopped working, all my custom ones did.

When I go to add a new custom keyboard shortcut, and click “set shortcut”, it shows the window where you normally entered a shortcut but it never detects anything. Tried tons of combinations and it just shows the picture of a keyboard till I hit escape.

Edit: Never mind, it works again after rebooting again.:man_shrugging:

I’ve had this problem as well, especially with function key shortcuts. Reboots sometimes fix it for me, but not always.

Same issue as this Volume up-down, calculator, ctr-ALTl T, windows key +A and more, not working anymore

It is also known upstream - so needs to be be dug into further - https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop/issues/1763
