Hello there , I would like to know if its possible, and if so how, to upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04 whilst keeping my settings exactly the same .

As of a matter of safety, I’d recommend you did a backup of your whole personal folder, hidden files included. Just in case something goes wrong…
